Working In Home Care

Who we are

As part of the UK’s largest family of home care providers, Comfort Call delivers leading home care services to customers across England. Trained to handle a variety of needs and circumstances, our care assistants help look after the elderly and young alike, customers with disabilities and those who require an extra bit of assistance when recovering from hospitalisation or injury.

Who you are

It takes a certain type of person to become a caregiver; someone with an inclination to help people in general and, more specifically, our customers who’ve found themselves in a vulnerable place in life. Although it may sound obvious, care assistants should be caring and passionate by nature with a vocational calling to be there for those in need without the fear of getting your hands dirty, quite literally. You’ll be visiting customer’s homes on a daily basis and so need to be a caregiver who’s dependable, reliable and dedicated, committed to being there for them on-time and ready to work.

You’ll make friends with some of those you’ll look after which may make it harder if they fall ill or pass away while they’re in your care. There may also be the occasional customer who’s not as friendly that will take patience and a pragmatic approach to look after. But those are the types of people we look for as our carers; people who care enough to go that extra mile, who mourn the people that might pass while they’re in their care and who can get on with the job at hand despite challenges that may arise.

Make a difference in your community

Working in communities of all sizes up and down England, our care staff are pivotal in providing much needed services in local communities. An integral part to the well-being of members within communities of all types, our care staff provide some of the most necessary services. Our teams head out at all times of the day or night, in all manner of weather to deliver help to the most vulnerable amongst us.

You enjoy meeting a diverse and varied range of customers, too.
