Working In Home Care

Who we are

As part of the UK’s largest family of care providers, Comfort Call delivers leading homecare services to customers across England. Trained to handle a variety of needs and circumstances, our care professionals help look after the elderly and young alike, those with disabilities, and those who require an extra bit of assistance when recovering from hospitalisation or injury.

Who you are

It takes a certain type of person to become a caregiver; someone with an inclination to help people in general and, more specifically, those who’ve found themselves in a vulnerable place in life. Although it may sound obvious, as a care professional, you should be caring and passionate by nature. You should also have a vocational calling to be there for those in need without the fear of getting your hands dirty. You’ll be visiting client’s homes on a daily basis, which means you need to be a caregiver who’s dependable, reliable, and committed to being there for them on-time and ready to work.

You’ll make friends with some of those you look after, which may make it harder if they fall ill or pass away while in your care. There may also be the occasional customer who’s not as friendly. This takes patience and a pragmatic approach to providing care. These are the types of people we look for as our care professionals –  people who care enough to go that extra mile, who mourn the people that might pass while they’re in their care, and who can get on with the job despite challenges that may arise.
